Data protection statement

KEB Automation KG (hereinafter referred to as "We") is the operator of the online offering at https://www.keb.de and is therefore the responsible authority for collecting, processing and using personal data belonging to the user of the online offering as defined in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Protecting your privacy and your private data is extremely important to us. We collect, process and use your personal data in compliance with both the content of this data protection statement and the applicable German data protection laws; especially the BDSG and the German Law on Telemedia (TMG).
The intention of this data protection statement is to inform you about the personal data relating to you that we collect, process and use.

Personal data
Personal data is individual details about your personal or material circumstances. This covers all information about your identity; for example, your name, your email address or your postal address. However, information that cannot be connected with your identity (for example, the number of users of the online offering) is not classed as personal information.
In principle, you can use our online offering without disclosing your identity and without providing personal data. However, some of the services that are offered—for example, if you contact us using a form—involve collecting personal data about you. In principle, we only collect, store and use this data for the purposes of using the online offering; in particular, to handle your contact request.

Storing and processing personal information
We store your details on servers with specific protection. We take technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction, access, change or distribution by unauthorised persons. A limited number of authorised persons are given access to your data. These persons are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial support for the servers. However, despite regular checks, complete protection against all risks is not possible.
Your personal data is encrypted before being transmitted via the Internet. We transmit the data using SSL encryption (Secure Socket Layer).

Sharing personal data with third parties
Fundamentally, we use your personal information solely to provide the services you have requested (for example, as part of dealing with your contact request). If we use external service providers as part of the service provision, they also access the data solely to provide the service. We take technical and organisational measures to ensure compliance with data protection law and we also require our external service providers to do the same.
In addition, we do not share the data with third parties unless you have given explicit consent for this, particularly not for advertising purposes. Your personal data is only shared if you have given your consent for this sharing, or if we are entitled or obliged to do so by legal provisions and/or official or judicial directives. Specific examples of this are providing information for law enforcement purposes, for hazard prevention, or to enforce intellectual property rights.

Using our home page

Information about your computer
Each time you access our online offering, we collect the following information about your computer (irrespective of your registration): the IP address of your computer, the request from your browser and the time of this request. In addition, we also record the status and the quantity of data transferred as part of this request. We also record product and version information about the browser used and the computer's operating system. Furthermore, we record the website that was used to access the online offering. The IP address of your computer is only stored while the online offering is being used; it is then deleted or anonymised by being abridged. The remaining data is stored for a limited period.
We use this data to operate the online offering; specifically, to identify and eliminate errors, to determine the utilisation of the online offering and to make amendments or improvements.

Using cookies
As with many websites, we use cookies for our online offering. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer. They store our specific settings and data for exchange with the online offering via your browser. A cookie normally contains the name of the domain from which the cookie file was sent, plus information about the age of the cookie and an alphanumeric identifier.
Cookies allow us to recognise your computer and to make any preferences available immediately. Cookies help us to improve the online offering and to offer you a better service that is tailored more closely to your requirements.
Most of the cookies that we use are session cookies, which are automatically deleted again at the end of the browser session.
Most browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. However, you can stop cookies from being stored or set your browser to notify you when cookies are sent. Please note that, under some circumstances, your use of our online offering will be restricted or will not be available at all if you do not allow cookies to be placed.

Online and contact form
If you want to use the online or contact form on our home page, you must give personal data such as your name and your email address. We only collect and use this data so that we can respond to your request or your wishes.
If personal data is requested when you use the home page, the required compulsory details in each entry screen are marked with an asterisk. All other details are optional.

Collecting data using etracker
We use the "etracker" software for statistical evaluations. etracker is a web analysis service provided by etracker GmbH, Erste Brunnenstraße 1, 20459 Hamburg, Germany. etracker uses "cookies"; text files that are placed on your computer and that allow your usage of the website to be analysed. etracker GmbH uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your usage of the website, to create pseudonymised user profiles, to compile reports about the website activities, and to deliver other services to the website operator that are linked to the website usage and Internet usage.
You can adjust the settings for your browser software to stop cookies being placed; however, this may mean that you are unable to use all the functions of this website in full.
Unless the person in question has given their consent separately, the data collected with etracker technologies will not be used to personally identify the visitor to this website, and will not be combined with personal data about the bearer of the pseudonym.
You can opt out at any time from data collection and data storage, with effect for the future. You can find further information about etracker at
