Remote Maintenance

C6 Router

The C6 router is a specially developed VPN router for the remote maintenance of industrial systems. KEB distinguishes between two hardware and four software variants. In terms of the hardware variants, in addition to the direct WAN connection, the user can also opt for a C6 router with mobile communications. This ensures that customer sites can independently access the Internet. The E1/M1 series are routers that have been developed exclusively for remote maintenance. Thanks to the E1/M1 C6 routers, access to Ethernet and serial devices up to subnet level is guaranteed.

The E2/M2 C6 routers bring an added advantage with their implemented visualisation software. The full functionality of COMBIVIS studio HMI also comes into play here. Data logging, alarm management, analysis of utilisation and capacity as well as notifications for service purposes via SMS or email are just a small selection of the functions available to the user.

Highlights

  • Remote monitoring using an Ethernet-based router
  • Worldwide support from several server locations
  • Also available as router with integrated 4G/LTE modem
  • Access to remote devices via Ethernet or serial interface
  • Proven COMBIVIS connect software connects the system to be monitored to your workstation via VPN
  • Additional HMI functionality for data logging, long-term machine diagnostics and notification by email and SMS

There are many reasons for remote maintenance: It saves travel to machines or plants and thus time and travel costs. On the other hand, technical experts can provide support more quickly.

Anyone who continues to operate 3G routers after the switch-off will only be able to use the 2G network. The C6 router von KEB Automation with integrated 4G modem is available as a replacement.
