Servosystem for EtherCAT, PROFINET, POWERLINK and EtherNet/IP

COMBIVERT S6

Real time via Ethernet – this is a knockout criterion in the serial communication of machines and systems and is often directly connected to the control make used.
The regulations of the end user result in a great deal of effort for the machine manufacturer, since functionally adapted but nevertheless very different development tools are associated with it. This is also reflected in the drive electronics.

KEB now offers an integrated solution in Generation 6, in which the variance is operated exclusively via a software switchover. The compact servo systems KEB COMBIVERT S6 support in the device variant APPLICATION beside the KEB standards EtherCAT and CAN also PROFINET as standard and now completes from software version 2.5ff also POWERLINK and EtherNet/IP as selectable variant in the interface.

The user thus has identical hardware that is flexible and convenient without the need for time-consuming separate orders for additional modules or double warehousing, and also standardizes the tool for commissioning. In short: Effort and costs significantly optimized. The free software KEB-COMBIVIS  provides numerous wizards for the adaptation of process parameters in communication, measurement and connection to special motors as well as for many basic settings. These wizards are extremely easy to use and create free space for the essential in the design of the application.

Safety directly in the drive

Variability is also the basic idea behind the implementation of safety technology in the drive controller. The modular functional safety technology package is set up in two stages: It is based on the integrated Safe Standstill (STO) and Safe Brake Control (SBC) functions. A second variant contains a further fourteen functions, all of which can be conveniently controlled via Safety over EtherCAT® (FSoE) even without complex cabling.

KEB COMBIVERT S6 is the KEB series for modern servo technology – highly integrated, universal and versatile with flexible functions for almost every drive as if made for networked automation. The system completes a modular system with servo and asynchronous motors, directly integrated into the industrial gear technology, as well as the associated pre-assembled cables.
